Who we are

Kinderchirurgie in Afrika e.V. is a public charity with the goal to improve pediatric surgical capabilities and care in Africa.

We are pediatric surgeons, associated faculties and interested people, who invest themselves on site and take care that your donations are used completely on site for the projects.

Africa is a continent with a very young population, half of it below the age of fifteen years.

In most of the countries, their is an ongoing formation of medical specialists, yet the number of pediatric surgeons is very low, and therefore also the knowledge about the management of specific malformations and medical conditions of childhood.

We improve pediatric surgical specialist care by supporting projects on site, In those Projects, children get examined, operated on and treated as necessary.

In doing so, the local colleagues and collaborators are trained in this areas and enabled to take over the treatment partially or completely.

In addition, we fund further measures like courses and practical stages for local staff, or improvements on the equipment.

Donations

As a public charity in Germany, we are entitled by the declaration of Finanzamt Stuttgart of April 1st, 2019, to issue certificates of donation for tax purposes for donations and membership fees.

All donations are tax deductible. Kindly note your address on the bank transfer slip.

Alternatively, up to the amount of 200 €, your bank transaction slip is valid for tax deductions.
